Fire restoration requires quick response. The first step is to clean the effected and existing areas. If you decide to do the initial cleaning before crews arrive, it is recommended to start from the ceilings, moving your way down to the floors. ServiceMaster by Bailey uses what are called chemical dry-cleaning sponges to remove soot and ash from hard surface areas where water cannot be used. It is important to wear dust masks when cleaning to prevent the inhalation of smaller, air-born particles. Vacuum carpets and upholstery and have any textiles such as clothing, bedding, window treatments, towels, etc. laundered.

Our content and fire restoration specialists will treat the areas to remove odors and salvageable contents. A negative air chamber is created or an odor-eliminating fog is used to remove the smoky smell from a structure after the initial cleaning.
