Have you completed a fall maintenance Checklist? If not, then it’s time to start one. Here are some of the tasks to complete in order to get your home and yard cold weather ready:
Empty dirt from flowerpots and garden containers.
Clean and apply sealer to your decks.
Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Clean the leaves out of your gutters.
Inspect your roof
Clean chimney
Check for drafts around windows and doors
Draw gas from lawn equipment
Check dryer vents for tears. Vacuum/brush out lint in dryer hose and around lint screen.
Pull refrigerator away from wall and vacuum the condenser coils and remove any build up or debris.
Aerate the lawn.
Drain and store water hoses.
Install insulation covers on spigots

Taking preventative measures like the ones above can save you a hassle during the colder winter months.
